The decision of the emergency meeting of the central committee commanders held on October 11 that Colonel Khun Okka, Joint General Secretary (1) Major Khun Min Them, and Joint General Secretary (2) Nan Yin Yin Soe, who broke away from the Pa-O National Liberation Organization PNLO/PNLA and founded the PNLO (NCA-S) group, were expelled from the PNLO/PNLA for misusing the name of the organization.

The PNLO/PNLA patron, Colonel Khun Okka resigned from the Organization on September 15, claiming that it was not compatible with the group’s policies, and announced the formation of the PNLO (NCA-S) on October 9.

Because it is clear that PNLO’s basic principles and constitution have been violated by misusing the name of PNLO, in an emergency meeting of the central committee and commanders, Colonel Khun Okka, Khun Min Them and Nan Yin Yin Soe (3) have been withdrawn from the positions and duties given by the federation, and they have the right to appeal at the next PNLO’s fourth conference.

The Pa-O National Liberation Organization PNLO/PNLA is a member of the Paece Process Steering Team (PPST) that signed the Nationwide Ceasefire Agreement (NCA). Since January (21st), the battle with the military council forces has intensified in the Shan State area of HoPaon Township.

The military council troops and the PNLO/PNLA troops gradually intensified the battle and spread to Sesai town. At the beginning of the attacks, Colonel Khun Okka announced that the NCA would follow the path of the NCA, but due to differences of opinion among the commanders, two other leaders split into the PNLO (NCA-S) and the PNLO, led by General Khun Thurein, split into two groups.
