According to a Reuters report, the state-owned media reported that the typhoon Yagi, which hit eight countries in Asia, caused a loss worth US$3.31 billion in Vietnam.
It is known that 299 people have died, 34 people are missing and many factories, roads, bridges, homes and farms have been lost in Vietnam due to the speed of Typhoon Diyagi.
“Total economic damage was initially estimated at more than 81.5 trillion dong, with landslides and flash floods causing the most damage,” state-run Vietnam News Agency quoted Agriculture Minister Le Minh Hoan as saying.
The Minister of Agriculture urged the authorities to replace and rebuild the country’s losses. On Thursday, the central bank issued an order to reduce the debts of Vietnam, whose economy was affected by typhoon.
It is known that over 40,000 trees were destroyed in Hanoi, Vietnam, and 241,000 houses in other places due to Typhoon Yagi, which has hit for 30 years.
