Military leader Min Aung Hlaing is eager to hold elections

The military council, which has announced that elections will be held in 2025, is organizing the areas controlled by the military in Mandalay and Bago divisions in Min Aung Hlaing region. Military leader Min Aung Hlaing also talked about the upcoming election during a meeting with the Bago Region government on August (30).

Military leader Min Aung Hlaing said, “We are working to collect the population and household contents census according to international standards. We have been working diligently since years ago, and we are now ready to carry out the census on the ground.”

In addition, military leader Min Aung Hlaing said, “We must continue to make the election an orderly general election and hand over national responsibilities to the government that emerges from that election.” We must work to hold a dignified election and a dignified parliamentary session. Meeting quorum in various parliaments; “We have to make sure that there is a dignified meeting of the Hluttaw and that certain representatives can be selected to attend,” he said.

Military leader Min Aung Hlaing went to the air force base in Bago and spoke about the importance of the air force in battles and added that Myanmar was the first country in Southeast Asia to use jet fighters.

While the fighting between the military council and the revolutionary forces was intense, the war chief was looking for a political way out by installing an elected government.
