From the north of Arakan State to the south, the Arakan Army attacked the Military Council with high speed, and the Military Council is defending itself with the Army, Navy and Air Force. Currently, the Arakan Army (ULA/AA) is simultaneously attacking Maungdaw, Thandae and Gu City.
According to ULA/AA’s statements, the Military Council cooperated with terrorist militant Muslim armed groups such as ARA, RSO, and ARSA in the Maungdaw battle.
Araka Army (ULA/AA) has been fighting fiercely between the military council troops and the Araka Army in the vicinity of Kyauk Paza village near Kyintali town, including Maungdaw city.
In the Battle of Chandu, the Military Council, with 8 warships, sent weapons and manpower to the places where the battle took place from the sea, and fired continuously with heavy weapons from the warships. The Arakan Army attacked the Maung Shwe Lai navy base in Thandae city on August 25th, and it was learned that it was occupied today.
As a result of the attack on the naval base with shock missiles, officers and soldiers of the Military Council were killed, and it is known that there are also soldiers who fled with white flags. A local villager has confirmed that dozens of local civilians were killed due to the military council’s aerial attack on MawRon village near the Maung Shwe Lay navy base.
Kyantali was captured by Arakan army and they were attacking Gu, so the military council was resisting fiercely. It is known that reinforcements from Pathein and Irrawaddy are preparing to defend Gu. It has been learned from local news sources that the military council has been arresting and interrogating Rakhine deserters from the Irrawaddy region as the battle of Gu town approaches.
