The Chinese embassy in Myanmar held a reception in Yangon on Friday to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China. The new ambassador, Ma Jia, secretary of the junta’s governing State Administration Council Lt-Gen Aung Lin Dwe and more than 500 people, including Yangon Region commander Maj-Gen Zaw Hein, leaders of political parties, envoys, representatives of international organizations, Chinese companies and expats attended the reception. Aung Lin Dwe and the ambassador jointly cut a ceremonial cake.
